Explain this project.

Ask Conrad Acquisitions, Preps and Grains are processed. Dimensions are running. Facts, Insights, Visuals and Reports are next.

Conrad Mode

Ask Conrad to build, explain or fix anything in the project. It works the plan one stage after another, and the plan fills in as it goes.

  • Build the whole model. Acquisitions through insights, visuals and reports.
  • Solve a problem. Say what is wrong or what you need to decide; Conrad finds what the data has to say about it.
  • Find insights. What is big, what is changing, what looks wrong.
  • Explain this project. What each stage holds so far, and what is missing.

Measures

A grain column defined as a fact, an aggregation, an output alias and a format.

DAR-C calculations

Scripts end with a semicolon and commands chain with a period. Usable by visuals just like the measures.

Context.Visual().AggregateFact(Sum, Revenue).SetQueryVariable(Den);
Compute([Query].[Num] / [Query].[Den]).Return();

Click any element in the plan to open it and change it by hand. What Conrad built is there in full, not hidden behind a summary.

  • Every stage is a list of elements you can open: acquisitions, preps, grains, dimensions, facts, insights, visuals, reports.
  • A measure is a fact column, an aggregation, an alias and a format. No formula language to learn for the common case.
  • Calculations are DAR-C: short scripts that say what they do in the order they do it, so whoever owns the number can read it.
  • Switch back any time. Ask Conrad to explain what you changed, or to carry on from there.

The work Conrad does for you. Try it.

Eighteen rows, three questions. Build the chart that answers each one. In Conrad Mode you’d just ask.

What sets it apart

  • AI built for BI

Ask Conrad runs every stage from one screen, with a context per project or one your team shares.

  • Star schema, enforced

Every model is a star schema by rule, so data is processed correctly and every report agrees.

  • Calculations you write once

A short DAR-C script, such as share of revenue, stays correct in every visual, filter and fiscal period.

  • Fast by design

Process all runs fast, and every step is tracked, so you can see what happened and fix it.

  • Custom in, custom out

Custom data acquisition and custom visuals for what standard tools don’t cover.

  • Viewers come with the plan

Pay for creators. On Enterprise, every viewer is free.

Questions, answered plainly

Where does it run?

In your environment, behind your firewall. It reads your databases and files where they already live. Only the dashboard layer is served through the browser, so a manager opens a link.

What leaves our machine?

You choose. In Data Profile mode, only statistics about the data are sent to the AI provider: counts, shares, ratios and trends. No dimension values and no absolute amounts leave the machine. The model behind Ask Conrad is your choice too: one running locally, or a public provider you already use. AI might be wrong. Use it at your own risk; AI can overwrite your work.

Does it work with our systems?

ERP systems, including older on-premise installations. SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle and other ODBC sources. Files and Excel. Line-of-business systems. For anything else, custom data acquisition is part of the platform. Ask us.

How do plans and viewers work?

Creators are in the plan price, and viewers come with the plan. Personal shares inside the app. Collab includes 25 viewers, then $15 a month each, up to 100. Enterprise viewers are unlimited and free. See what each plan includes.

Do we need to know SQL or a formula language?

No. Ask Conrad builds and explains in plain English. In Developer Mode a measure is a column, an aggregation and a format, and a calculation is a short DAR-C script that reads in order.

Can we change what Conrad builds?

Yes. Click any element in the plan to open it in Developer Mode and change it by hand, then switch back and carry on.

What happens when a source system changes?

Today your team updates the model, or asks Conrad to fix it. Self-healing models that adjust themselves when sources change are on the roadmap and not shipped.
