Cheaper is the smaller half of the argument

Over three years, ConradBI costs less than a per-user BI tool with consultants. The bigger difference is what each dollar returns.

  • 56% lessto run over three years, everything in
  • Month 1when it pays for itself. The per-user route: about month 8.
  • 6× fewerof your own hours to build it. Days, not months.

Our own estimate, not a quote and not customer results. One company throughout: 100 viewers and 5 report builders over 36 months, modeled at the Enterprise price published above. If that price changes, these figures are out of date until we rerun the model.

How we got these numbers
  • ConradBI: the subscription for 36 months plus your own team’s build time, $82,600 in. Modeled value out, $926,200.
  • Per-user route: software for 105 people billed monthly, an implementation project of 8 to 16 weeks, a consultant for about 5 hours a month, learning the tool’s formula language, and your own team’s build time, $188,600 in. Modeled value out, $849,100, with 3 of the 36 months earning nothing while it is built.
  • Value is modeled from published wage benchmarks and our own unit-value assumptions: modeling and report building done by AI, one version of the truth across systems, people answering their own questions, IT out of the report queue, and spreadsheet-error risk avoided.

Estimate it for your own company

Pricing, answered plainly

Personal, Collab or Enterprise — which one am I?

Personal is one person: your own files, your own database, public data, running in memory on your machine. Collab is a small team doing real reporting — it connects your ERP and other production systems, keeps them refreshed daily, and saves the model so everyone works from the same definitions. Enterprise is the version a whole company runs on: unlimited free viewers, unlimited sources, and the option to run the AI on your own hardware. If you are building for yourself or a client, Personal. If a few people build and a handful read, Collab. If the business depends on it and everyone needs the numbers, Enterprise.

What counts as one company?

One company means one work email domain. Anyone who signs in with an address at your domain is part of your subscription — that is how we group people, which is why there is nothing to administer and no seat audits. If your business runs on more than one domain, or you are a group of separate companies, talk to us.

What can Ask Conrad actually do?

It knows how ConradBI works from end to end, and it can do what the application can do — connect a source, work out how your tables relate, write a measure, build a dashboard, schedule it. You describe the outcome in plain language and it handles the technical steps, so you do not need to know the vocabulary the industry uses for how data fits together. It also writes stories and insights from what it finds, and compresses context automatically so long sessions keep working. It is on every tier, including the free Student Edition.

Can I use our own AI model?

On Enterprise, yes — run inference on a model inside your own network so nothing leaves it, or use a public one. Personal and Collab use public models. That is a hardware question rather than a policy one: running a model locally that is strong enough to drive the whole application needs infrastructure most small teams do not have. If you have it, Enterprise is where it belongs.

Can I connect our ERP on Personal?

No. Personal works from local files, public data and your own database, and it runs in memory with nothing scheduled. Production connectors to an ERP or another line-of-business system start at Collab, along with daily scheduled refresh and a saved model. Ask Conrad is the same on every tier — it is the connection to your production systems that differs.

Who counts as a creator?

A creator is someone who makes reports: connecting data, shaping the model, writing measures and designing dashboards. Each card above says how many creators the plan includes and what an extra one costs per month. Everyone who only opens and reads dashboards is a viewer.

Are viewers really free?

On Enterprise, yes: unlimited and free for everyone at your company. It is a deliberate design choice, not an introductory offer. The product is only worth keeping if the whole company is using it. Personal viewers read inside the app itself. Collab includes a number of viewers and prices the rest per month; its card above has the figures.

Why is Enterprise priced per company instead of per user?

Because per-user pricing punishes you for sharing information. The whole point of business intelligence is that everyone works from the same numbers, and a per-head bill makes companies ration access. One price per company means the decision is made once, and then everybody gets the numbers. Personal and Collab are priced per creator because at that size you are buying seats for the people who build, not access for a company.

Can we run it entirely on our own servers?

The application already installs in your environment and connects directly to your data — your operational data does not come to us. If you also need the viewing layer fully on-premise, or a perpetual license instead of a subscription, that comes with Enterprise.

What is included in Custom?

Everything in Enterprise, shaped to what you need. Tell us the requirement and we will quote it.

Is there a long contract?

No multi-year lock-in. Personal starts with a free trial; cancel on your account page, or email team@conradbi.com, before the trial ends and you pay nothing. Subscriptions are billed monthly and you can cancel any time: canceling stops the next renewal, and access runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and that period isn't refunded. For Enterprise terms, request info and we’ll set them out for you.

What exactly do I get in the free trial?

The trial is Personal, in full: the builder, Ask Conrad, and your own files, database and public data. We take a card at signup and charge nothing during the trial. After it, the Personal price on the card above applies, billed monthly until you cancel, and you can cancel on your account page or by emailing team@conradbi.com before the trial ends. The trial is not a cut-down Collab or Enterprise. For those, request info and we’ll walk you through it.

Do you charge for onboarding?

Not by default. A live training session with a solutions engineer is an optional extra on Enterprise; ask us for the price. Most teams do not need it: Ask Conrad can walk you through getting connected and building your first dashboards, and written how-to guides are on the way. We would rather you learn it than pay us to sit with you.

Our interns are students — can they use the free Student Edition for our work?

No, and we would rather say so plainly than have it come up later. The Student Edition is licensed for coursework, research and personal projects only, and it runs in memory with no scheduled refresh, so it is not built for company data anyway. If an intern is working on your reporting, that is Collab or Enterprise — and on Enterprise they are already covered, because you pay per company rather than per person.
